Manirathnam’s next film with Simbhu Print

Mani Rathnam, who is busy bilingual Raavana in Tamil and Raavan in Hindi, is to start shooting his next film with Little Superstar Simbhu. There are rumours that the ace director has approached Simbu for his next project which is expected to start by November. Simbu who has walked out of K.V. Anand’s Ko, and was completely bowled over by the offer of Mani Rathnam. The movie is expected to be a bilingual film featuring an emerging hero of B-town in the Hindi version..

A modern adaptation of the epic Ramayana, Raavana revolves around Raavana, the ruler of Lanka, who kidnapped Sita. The story culminates with Sita supporting Raavana instead of Rama, who suspects her chastity after having spent so much time in Raavana’s custody. Vikram plays the villain in the Hindi version. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are the lead pair in Hindi, while Vikram will play the lead opposite Aishwarya in Tamil. Music is composed by Mani Madras Talkies.


If everything goes on well who knows Simbhu may even become the next big thing in Kollywood or even Bollywood circles. Meanwhile the release of Simbhu’s Vinnathandi Varuvaayaa is expected eagerly by his fans and film buffs.
