The National Thermal Power Corporation's 1,900 MW power plant at Vallur, in TN would be commissioned by March 2011, an NTPC official said here today. TNEB and NTPC have entered into an agreement to set up NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Company Ltd to set up the plant, with both having an equal share in the project.‘’The plant will be commissioned in March 2011’’, NTPC Director HR R C Shirvastav told reporters here. The project was delayed due to various reasons he said and expressed hope that it would be commissioned next year. it is usual for projects to be delayed before commissioning and we need to cover it up.
