Kannukulle which has Mithun Tejaswi and Aparna in the lead role is being directed by Lena Moovendhar who was an assistant director of veteran director Mahendran is all set for release. Muvendhar had churned out a host of television serials including Vasantham and Nanayam. The story revolves around a young couple who are not on talking terms with each other for a couple of years, but still live together. Newcomer Anu plays the second heroine, while Sarath Babu is also in the cast. Ilayaraja was so impressed with the story that he involved himself completely while scoring the re-recording.
